How do you keep a porta potty from tipping over in Holdrege wind?

We stake or strap porta potties on open lots, job sites and farm ground around Holdrege at no charge. A standard unit weighs only about 165 lb when empty. Phelps County wind can push one over without anchors, so the driver secures each unit at drop-off.

Holdrege sits on flat, open cropland with few windbreaks. Spring storms make the risk higher. Our drivers drive stakes into the ground or strap the unit to a fixed post.

After a storm, check the unit. If wind or a vehicle moved it, text us and we will reset it.

Placement matters as much as anchors. Pick a firm, level spot about 4 ft by 4 ft. Stay clear of wet basins and low ground after rain. The truck must stop within about 10 ft of the spot.

• Mark the spot with a flag or cone.
• A 48-inch gate is the practical minimum.
• Send a GPS pin for fields with no address.

For field crews at planting or harvest, see our farm porta potty rental setup. A standard porta potty works for most Holdrege sites.
